Start with the charter format
A one-day Cannes island charter, a Monaco event yacht and a weekly superyacht itinerary are priced differently. The first comparison is duration, route, guest count and yacht type, not only the length of the yacht.
Riviera yacht charter price guide
Yacht charter cost is shaped by more than yacht size. On the French Riviera, the final budget depends on dates, route, port, fuel, VAT, APA, berths, delivery, catering and whether the yacht is used for a simple day, a multi-day cruise or an event week.

Route, yacht fit, boarding point, cost assumptions and guest comfort are reviewed together before a shortlist is sent.
A one-day Cannes island charter, a Monaco event yacht and a weekly superyacht itinerary are priced differently. The first comparison is duration, route, guest count and yacht type, not only the length of the yacht.
The base charter fee is only one line. Larger crewed yachts usually add APA, VAT, fuel, berths, provisioning, delivery and gratuity assumptions. Some day yachts include a local fuel allowance, while others itemise it.
Monaco, Cannes, St Tropez, Nice and Antibes can change the total cost because of berth pressure, yacht location, delivery time, tender access and the distance needed to reach the route guests actually want.
A serious quote should state the yacht, date, pickup point, guest capacity, route assumption, included items, exclusions and what would change the final price. A low number without those details is not a better offer.
Before comparing yachts
Ask whether each quote is day rate, weekly base rate, all-inclusive local day charter, or base fee plus expenses.
During quote review
Request the base fee, VAT treatment, APA estimate, fuel assumption, berth notes, provisioning and delivery lines before choosing.
Before booking
Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival and peak St Tropez dates can change berth access, minimum periods, delivery and availability.
Final decision
Compare comfort, route fit, crew, shade, tender access and backup plan before using price as the final filter.
Costs vary widely by yacht, season, route and duration. A smaller day yacht may quote a day price, while larger crewed yachts usually quote a base rate with APA, VAT, fuel, berths and provisioning handled separately.
Superyacht charter cost depends on size, quality, crew, season, location and itinerary. Monaco, Cannes and St Tropez can also add event pressure, berth costs, delivery assumptions and higher minimum periods.
APA is the Advance Provisioning Allowance used for variable expenses such as fuel, food, drinks, berths and guest requests. The captain tracks spending and reconciles the balance after the charter.
A one-day charter has a lower total budget, but the daily rate can be higher relative to a weekly charter. Weekly superyacht pricing spreads crew, setup and itinerary planning across more days.
The proposal should clarify yacht, crew, date, guest capacity, route, fuel assumptions, VAT, APA or expenses, berths, delivery, catering, cancellation terms and payment schedule.

Learn about MYBAYour request is reviewed with professional charter partners, including brokers who are members of MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association when the yacht, contract or market requires it.
Before a deposit, you see the yacht, route assumption, inclusions, exclusions, payment schedule, cancellation terms and any APA, VAT, fuel or delivery notes.
Crew, insurance, weather, guest comfort, tender access and local captain decisions are treated as part of the booking, not details to solve on the day.
A charter expert stays visible from enquiry to shortlist, with email or WhatsApp follow-up when timing, routes or guest needs change.
We qualify the request, then coordinate with suitable charter broker partners so availability, terms and negotiation are handled through professional charter channels.
The shortlist should clarify the exact yacht, dates, guest count, boarding point, route, price assumptions, inclusions, exclusions and payment conditions.
MYBA is a recognised professional association in superyachting. Working with MYBA-member brokers helps align complex charters with established professional standards and widely used charter documentation.
